1. Can venues/promoters/managers have their own log-in to post their own events. If this is achievable are they only allowed to see their own posting and not everyone else?

2. With the venue manager, can the script integrate with a venue listing program using short codes or does the venue manager make custom page for that venue? Would this be eventually a possible update in the future?

3. If a custom page posting is created for an venue how can I get a list of the events that are upcoming with link to that specific event?

4. If mine/someone else cliental are with multiple venues/promoters and decide to only take in the profits of a surcharge and payout the rest, does the script handle that with the gateway payments? IE: When someone buys a ticket the surcharge goes to us in our gateway and the other goes to the venue/promoter gateway payment company? Will this be a feature in the future?

5. If a wordpress theme is customized made or altered in anyway, when upgrading the plug-in can this cause problems for the overall website?

Sorry for many questions!!

HI Ian,

How are you today?

1) Yes, with the Roles & Permissions Pro (https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-permissions-pro/) add-on people can post their own events and others can not manage them (excluding a higher-level admin).

2) What do you mean by integrate with a venue listing program? If you mean some sort of integration service you would probably have to do an integration using the JSON API: https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-json-api/

3) Take a look at the Venue and Venue List shotcodes: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#venue

4) That does not yet exist, but we do plan to accommodate this TYPE of system in the future. However, if this is to be done right it is a large project so it won’t be done very soon. The way you described is very complicated when you take into account all the systems that are required to work (e.g. refunds, registering for multiple events from multiple authors at once, etc.).

5) We try to make the theme and plugin separate, so you should be fine. But be careful about modifying core Event Espresso files because we can’t guarantee that they will not be overwritten. In Event Espresso 4, we are going to use CPTs more often so it will be easier to make customizations for your theme.

Does that help?
