I received the the following code when updated EE today.

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method EventEspresso\core\services\notifications\PersistentAdminNoticeManager::loadRegisterAndSaveNotices() in /home/safewo5/public_html/valortg.com/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/domain/entities/notifications/PersistentAdminNotice.php:347 Stack trace: #0 /home/safewo5/public_html/valortg.com/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(286): EventEspresso\core\domain\entities\notifications\PersistentAdminNotice->confirmRegistered(”) #1 /home/safewo5/public_html/valortg.com/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(310): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array) #2 /home/safewo5/public_html/valortg.com/wp-includes/plugin.php(453): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #3 /home/safewo5/public_html/valortg.com/wp-includes/load.php(679): do_action(‘shutdown’) #4 [internal function]: shutdown_action_hook() #5 {main} thrown in /home/safewo5/public_html/valortg.com/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/domain/entities/notifications/PersistentAdminNotice.php on line 347

I don’t see any issues with function yet, should I expect some or do I need to worry about this?

Hi Laran,

May I ask how exactly were the files updated to your server? Via the WP Plugins page? It appears your site might be missing at least one file because that method is defined in the current version of the plugin.

Yes Josh, I received that error code immediately after I used the WP plugins page to update EE. The code has not appeared since then.

May I ask do you happen to know which admin page your were on when you saw the error?

It was a few days ago but I’m pretty sure it was in the “add new plugins” page.

So maybe you had deactivated EE4, deleted it, then uploaded and activated the new version instead of using the 1-click update?

Well, I like the simplest method so I normally just hit the 1 click update. I don’t think I did anything different that day.

Ok thanks for reporting this. I’m not able to replicate the issue anywhere but if you see the error again it will help to know the details, like which admin page you were on and if there were any admin notifications displaying on the page before or after the fatal error.

I just remembered something… The same update caused all of my previous promocodes to disappear. It’s not a big deal but they don’t exist anymore.

They probably still exist in the database but the there may be an issue with displaying them in the promotions admin. If you can complete the form on this secure page we can investigate further:

Hi Laran,

We received the form you sent, but I’m afraid it was incomplete. We can investigate further if you can include FTP credentials when you complete the form.

Also, did you backup the database before doing the update?
