This may not be a eventespresso error, but It happens only with eventespresso plugin. I also have other plugins and that seem to work.

May be you have a quick answer.

I am trying to install the def version 4.8.38, installtion is fine. But when try to run I am getting whole lot of (Fatal error: Class 'EE_DMS_Core_4_1_0' not found) error when I try to activate the plugin in googleappengine local env setup. However everything works fine with MAMP.

Do you have a clue ?.

Hi there,

How are you installing Decaf? Through the plugins menu or via FTP?

On the live site did you have a previous version of Event Espresso installed? On the live site it looks like EE is trying to run a migration but can not load the files to do so. I’ve just run through a couple of migrations on different sites using Decaf to confirm it worked, so it could be a permissions issue.

Can you check that you have the correct permissions setup on your site:

Hi Tony,

I am doing through the plugin menu, the way gae (google app engine) works is. You do the update in the local then upload the same through the gae python utility, you can’t directly update a plugin on the server.

Yes I did installed and unintalled few times, due to another issue. Should I do a clean up ?. How to do the same ?

Thanks,
Rama.

I have no experience with GAE so I’m not sure how you would do a ‘clean up’ through that.

How to do the same ?

Sorry, I’m not sure what you are asking here.

Event Espresso is much more complex than most standard plugins and may doing something that app engine is not expecting, although EE doesn’t really do anything that should not be expected.

GAE is just a cloud environment, a hosting space like amazon aws.

I understand eventespresso is a complex plugin. How to do a clean and try again ?. Will just deleting the directory will do ?

Which directory?

The event-espresso-decaf plugin directory?

If so that will remove the files but not clear any info from the database. If you want to completely start fresh you’ll need to go to Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> Reset/Delete Data -> Permanently Delete ALL Event Espresso Tables and Data.

Note that will remove ALL event espresso data from the database, all events, registration etc. Be sure to make a database backup before proceeding just to be safe.

Ok, I will give a try with that. Appreciate your support.

Looking forward to get a licensed one, I just want to get a hang of your plugin to see how it works before I go for that.

Can you recommend themes that go will with event espresso. It should suit a yoga website.

Thanks Again
Rama.

The support team from google send me this message “That class name looks like the core class of theirs. Does that plugin use the autoloader? Is it possible to see the source code of their installer? I suspect they’re doing something which is not possible within the sandbox.”

Please let me know your response.

Thanks,
Rama.

Hi, I tried eventesspresso multiple times with google cloud. Please be aware that your plugin doesn’t work with google-app-engine.

I am moving on to a different plugin as that works perfectly with google-app-engine, though they are not future rich as you.

In case you want to try it on your own, you can following this to deply in google-app-engine.

https://wp.gaeflex.ninja/2016/04/07/running-wordpress-on-app-engine-standard-environment/

And please keep me posted if this is fixed in future.

Thanks,
Rama.

Hi Rama,

At this time we are not working on making Event Espresso compatible with Google Cloud hosting. I noticed from your posts in the Slack channel that this is not isolated to Event Espresso but you also had problems with Gravity Forms + Stripe.

Both EE anf GF run without problems on multiple different hosting environments so this is likely due to some form of restriction in place within the Google Cloud hosting.

Currently we can recommend using a different hosting provider when using Event Espresso.
