Good Day

I need some clarity on the below
Sold Rsrvd Regs

Sold= The number of approved registrations.
Reserved = Is this partial payments?
Regs = Is this all the registrations that have occurred even if they where abandoned or trashed?

Hi Shaun

Sold= The number of approved registrations.

Correct.

Reserved = Is this partial payments?

No, ‘reserved’ tickets are tickets which EE has basically set aside whilst a user has them in their session.

For example, when you select a ticket and submit the ticket selector Event Espresso starts a ‘session’ and places your ticket selection under ‘reserved’ for the duration of that session (by default it’s 1 hour). As you work through your registration you will ultimately either pay for/finalize your registration or abandon it, if you’ve paid your added to the sold count, if not eventually the ticket will release back.

We do this for a few reasons but one is to prevent overselling. Say in the time it took for you to provide your registration details I come along and selected YOUR ticket and used autofil to register before you do. Then you add your details only to find the event is now sold out. Not great.

Even worst when you go to your second choice event and the same thing happens.

So {limit} – (‘Sold’ + ‘Reserved’) = reamining tickets.

There’s a little more to it but that’s the general idea.

Regs = Is this all the registrations that have occurred even if they where abandoned or trashed?

Correct, a trashed registration is still a registration linked to the ticket.

The only time that will drop is if you perm delete the registration as then it no longer exists.

That help?
