Hello;

on the events page of my website– https://couplesinstep.com/events/ — I have rows instead of columns. How can I change that to show up as columns instead of rows?

Thanks, Irene

Hi,

I checked the page and that’s not actually the events view grid. The layout of that page is 100% controlled by the Avada theme. The best place to get help with the Avada theme is from Themefusion support:

also, if the page I referred to above is not controlled by the EE event view grid add on, there should be a page in the back end called “https://couplesinstep.com/events/” and.. and there isn’t, … I am totally confused…

It’s optional, it’s not needed.

I’ll try to explain. The /events/ isn’t a page, it’s a WordPress archive of event posts. It works exactly the same as your site’s blog page:
https://couplesinstep.com/category/blog/
in that it’s not a page you edit content. Instead, it’s a collection of posts from that post type.

Every site that has Event Espresso has an events archive, and its layout is controlled by the theme. If you want to present the events in another way, you can add a new page to your site and make use of the Grid Template add-on. Or, as I mentioned earlier, you can contact the theme’s support staff to get help with fixing the layout.

Are you using the [ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE] shortcode code anywhere on the site?

It’s not used on that page.

The /events/ output isn’t a page, it’s an ‘archive’ an there is no ‘page’ to display an archive, it’s all done by your themes template files which is why Josh mentioned you’ll need to contact Themefusion for more details.

Thanks for responding. I did go back to my web folks and they set the page up, as Josh indicated via the theme… I’d like to cancel the events view grid add on… I’ll contact billing…
