Events show registration closed on calendar but in the edit page they show opened.
I worked for over 12 hours yesterday changing a number of series of events Today I went to test them from our calendars and all the events I worked on will not open. they show Registration Closed. When I go into these events on the edit page they show Registration opened. This is a critical problem costing us over $1000 per day. Go to http://www.TorontoAdventures.ca then go to the Kayaking or Canoeing Humber River Calendars and try to open a event.

Can you edit this event:

http://torontoadventures.ca/event-registration/?ee=6741

Then let us know the event start/end dates and the registration start/end dates please?

Were these set up as using the Recurring Events Manager? (REM for short)

Hey Tony,

Thanks for the reply. I am indeed able to edit this event. The event start/end dates are 2014-05-31/2014-04-05. The problem is that when we change the event end date to the same date as the start date (we have one day events) and we update ‘this and all upcoming events’ it automatically sets the event end date to a date before the start date. This closes our events on the calendar. When we update ‘only this instance’ the start/end dates remain correct. Any thoughts?

We are indeed using the Recurring Events Manager.

Hey Tony,

We seem to have located the bug. In the REM we had to change the ‘First Event Date’ and the ‘First Event End Date’ to to match the individual event date we were editing. This seems to be a bug as we’ve been working with this system for years and have never had to make this change in the REM before. Thanks again.

Apologies for the delay getting back to you.

I can confirm this issue when using ‘This and all upcoming events’ within REM, however this is interesting:

This seems to be a bug as we’ve been working with this system for years and have never had to make this change in the REM before.

So performing the exact same steps within previous version of Event Espresso would NOT cause the dates to be in-correctly calculated? Have you recently updated? If so do you happen to know the previous version you where on.

I’d like to find the causing within both REM and EE.
