Events Calendar isn’t showing

I’ve installed the Events Calendar and created a page with the [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] variable on it.

However, I don’t see anything apart from the page title:

As you can see, I’ve already created an event which should be displayed:

Hi there,

I took a look at the page source and the issue with the calendar is being caused by two things:

#1 An older version of jQuery is being loaded.
#2 jQuery is being loaded from the footer.

Since the calendar is a jQuery plugin, it really needs jQuery to be loaded in the header, and it also needs a more up to date version in order to work properly.

Sometimes it’s a matter of checking with the theme author and asking them how to modify the theme so the above two conditions can be met.

If you temporarily switch to another WordPress theme like the default twentytwelve theme you should be able to see the calendar load up with no trouble.

Hi,

I’ve made the changes you mentioned, however, I don’t see the calendar 100%, you’ll notice that the dates on the Saturday column, aren’t displayed propertly.

It looks like there’s an inline style that’s setting the width of the table to 100%. If you back that down to about 98% it will not overflow.

Here’s an illustration that might help explain what I’m referring to.
