Event Reminders Not Sending

Hi there,

The first thing to check is that the cron job for the Automate upcoming event notifications (AUEN) is set within WordPress.

To do that install this plugin:

Then go to Tools -> Cron Events.

When the list there for AHEE__EventEspresso_AutomatedEventNotifications_core_tasks_Scheduler__check

Does it show up looking like this:

Also, at the top of that page, does it say anything at all about WP_CRON being disabled? (Usually it will show a notice at the top of the WP Crontrol table)

No WP_CRON errors are popping up and AHEE__EventEspresso_AutomatedEventNotifications_core_tasks_Scheduler__check
Looks exactly as you pasted.

When did it last run? (the 3rd column)

Are you using custom AUEN templates or defaults? (As in are you setting specific ‘Custom’ message templates for each event for those messages or just using the ‘Global’/Default same template for them all)

It had last run an hour and thirty minutes ago. I think we’ve tried both at this point.

Hi there

Apologies for the delay, the only way I’m going to be able to narrow this down is to step through the functions and run through the queries directly and see what is being returned for those.

The notifications are working for me, so something is happening on your site that will need troubleshooting.

Generally, for issues like this we would require a support token as its working outside of your site, so it could possibly be a plugin conflict, however, it may also not be!

So, if you can send me both WP Admin and FTP credentials using this form:

I can take a look into this, I’ll let you know if it looks like a conflict or a bug and make a more informed decision on how to move forward from there.

Side note – what I can do is using something like UpDraft to clone the site locally and run some queries/testing there rather than on your live site.
