Hey EE Team, on December 1st, I brought the export button issue on individual event pages to your attention and was wondering if we could <u>PLEASE</u> get a patch to fix that ASAP? We could use the patch as we export multiple events multiple times each month.

Thank you!

Hi there,

v5.0.1.3.p has been released, that version includes a fix for the above.

PLease let me know if you have any issues.

(Note – if you don’t see the update available on your site just yet then go to Event Espresso -> General Settings. Make no changes and just hit save to force an update check)

Thank you sir, everything seems to be working with regards to the export, however, we seem to have a new issue, and I’m not sure if it’s related to the update. I saw the notice about updating the Paypal payment info, and when I tried to update the payment details, I got a runtime exception error (see link). If I click on the link “click to view backtrace and class/method details” the page fills up with code… https://thertc.org/paypalruntimeerror.png
https://thertc.org/paypalruntimeerror2.png

Also, I can edit the “Invoice” settings but when I attempt to edit the QuickBooks settings, the page is entirely blank???

Hmmm, which PHP version are you using?

You can find that in Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> System information

Search for ‘php version’

May I ask who you use for hosting?

(The new update is running into issues with SiteGround, even though we are running the same PHP version to test against)

We are running version 7.4.33 and host with BlueHost.

For PayPal Commerce, I’ve confirmed this is an issue with PHP7.4.XX

I’ll create a ticket to fix this, however, I’d recommend looking into updating PHP to PHP8.0/8.1 either way.

PHP7 has been EOL for over year now.

PHP8.0 itself has now been EOL for a month

BlueHost have some docs on changing PHP versions:

https://www.bluehost.com/help/article/php-version-selection

Also, I can edit the “Invoice” settings but when I attempt to edit the QuickBooks settings, the page is entirely blank???

Checking into Quickbooks shortly.

Thank you sir, I am checking with a few of my people and will hopefully update PHP tonight or tomorrow. I think we downgraded because the event mover was not working with PHP 8 at the time. I assume all the plugins are working on PHP version 8+ now?

ok, i updated to PHP 8.3 and the Paypal and Quickbooks selections both are working.

just want to verify that all the additional plugins will work on that version?

Thank you again

Ok, i disconnected the paypal gateway and re-authorized it as instructed and now we get the following error when the registration form loads: https://thertc.org/paypal_ajax_error.png

Hi there,

I’ve pushed an update to fix the fatals you were getting previously (5.0.15.p)

Can you update to that version and see if that fixes your issues with PayPal Commerce?

If you don’t see the update available just yet then go to Event Espresso -> General Settings, make no changes and just hit save. The update should then show up in the plugins menu.

so I am still getting the same error.

I pushed the update and then went into the payment methods to double-check that PayPal was connected. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to say that it’s connected next to the “PayPal Onboarding” area (I thought it did), but it if it did, it won’t connect. I ran through the connection process several times, and everything seemed to go through the motions each time, but it still will not show as connected.

I cleared the PayPal Commerce metadata and tried to connect several more times with no luck. I made sure to hit the Update PayPal Commerce Payment Settings and try to register again. I still get the same error each time the registration page loads.

Thank you for working on this…
