Event Registration Continuous Loop

We are running our first event for the new year. The website is http://www.ncer1.org. The problem is that when a member registers, Event Espresso enters a continuous loop asking for registration confirmation. After the first confirmation, the registration information is blank. It never takes the registrant out to PayPal to pay for the event. Yet, it shows all the blank entries as attendees who have paid. This is WordPress 3.5 and all the latest EE plugins. Please help?!

Hello,

You seem to be running the Jetpack plugin. Since Jetpack updated recently we have had numerous conflict issues with it.

Josh posted some information here https://eventespresso.com/topic/important-information-re-the-recent-jetpack-update-and-event-espresso/

You can either deactivate the plugin or try rolling back to a previous version

Nope, that’s not the problem. Jetpack is installed but Publicize and Sharing are both turned off. I also added the code to the functions.php file with no change.

We allow members to sponsor guests and register them at the time the member registers for the event. I’ve tried limiting the number in a group to no avail. I’ve also turned off group registration. No matter what I’ve tried, the system goes into a continuous loop and keeps asking to confirm blank registrations.

I created a screen capture of the problem and uploaded it to Youtube as an unlisted video. This link should give you access: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMvuKk5_dEA

Hi there,

From watching the video, it looks to me that there are older versions of the registration and confirmation page templates in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates that are overriding the templates in the new version. Can you check the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates directory for these and remove any templates from prior versions so that the current version’s templates can load. Event Espresso will not work as expected after an update if the templates copied over to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates do not get updated.

Oops, I spoke too soon. Now I have duplicate registration entries for a single person.

Disregard that last post. It is working. I need to get a license reset. The auto-upgrade process hasn’t been working and I’ve tried all of the remedies outlined in the related post. This problem came from the fact that the last two upgrades have been done manually.

Hi there,

Updating manually shouldn’t cause any issues if you follow the steps in this document:
