The Event Registration Details emailed stopped sending after a user registers. This suddenly stopped a week ago. All other EE emails are flowing as normal (via WP SMTP plugin ~ Send in Blue with verified domain).
I can manually hit the Resend Registration Details button and the email goes out. I can send Test emails without issue. However, during the normal flow of event signups, it no longer works as it used to.
If you view Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message Activity, does it show the message as sent there?
If unsure, add a new registration to test it and then view that same section, it should initially show as a row with ‘no recipient’. (Don’t click through to generate/send as you want to test this as close to ‘live’ as you can)
Wait around 5 mins and refresh, it should have moved to waiting to send, again another 5 mins and refresh.
The last automated Registration Approved message was sent Sept 1 (9 days ago).
I just did a test registration + paypal. Registration and Payment successful. I saw 2 Payment Received emails (Primary Registrant + Event Admin) appear in EE Message Activity and confirmed both emails received in their respective email accounts. No signs of the “Event Registration Approved” emails.
We deprecated PayPal standard a while back to due IPN reliability issues and regardless of the issue at hand, I’d recommend switching over (switching may well fix the problem anyway).
