Hello,

I have 3 different pricing for our event. There is a 13% tax applicable.
In the Standard Pricing fields, there are 3 choices (Regular admission/Group rate/Student). The Group Rate choice seems to overcharge the tax.
It’s $160.00 + 13%= $180.80
The field is correctly filled out, but when attendee confirms registration, the total amount is not correct. It’s way too high.

First time happening…

Any ideas?
Thanks
Geneviève

Hi Geneviève, could you provide a link to the event?

Also, could you confirm that the total should be price of ticket + 13% tax?

Yes, total is price + 13%.

Thanks

May I ask what number you’re expecting the total amount to be and how you’re calculating and arriving at that figure?

Hi,

3*$160=$480 + (13% HST) = $542.40
And EE charged $627.15

It sounds like they selected the Regular admission rate instead of the Group Rate. The select box isn’t going to automatically select the Group option if they add more attendees to the order, they will still need to select the group price option.

I did it myself and made sure that Group rate was selected.
I can see on the Registration Summary that Early bird Group rate was selected.

You might try clearing your browser’s cache before testing. Here’s what I got when I tested your site:

Hi,

What do you mean clearing your browser’s cache “before testing”. You mean before clicking on the link you just sent or before trying to register attendees?

Because I wasn’t doing a test when I contacted you. It was a real entry.

Do I understand well?
Thanks

I mean clear the browser cache before trying again.

Does the amount in the screenshot I posted look correct?

Yes.

The amount in the screenshot you sent me was ok before and after I cleaned the cache. I saw the same screenshot before and after cleaning my cache.

Thank your for verifying. So now that you’ve cleared the cache, and you go to try the registration again, does it have the correct amount?

The amount is now correct.
I guess I have no control on participants’ browser, but I will have to suggest them to clear their cache if it happens…

Hi Geneviève,

I ran a couple of test registrations and have so far not been able to reproduce this on your site so caching would fit the cause.

If you do run into further problems please let us know.

Okay.
Thanks to all
