Can someone advise where the event ID is added to Infusionsoft when it creates a product and product SKU? I think I am getting duplicate events in my Infusionsoft, but when I try to match the Event ID shown in the Infusionsoft Product SKU it does not match the one shown on the event list in EE… And since I am using the same Event and Exact Ticket name, just adding times, I am confused by the products being created – they have not even had tickets sold yet? |
Hi, Event Espresso actually sends the product to Infusionsoft when you create/edit the event, and the product SKU is based on the ticket’s ID. |

So if that is true – will it create a new product for every New ticket, date and time because it would have a new SKU? I have set up as you advised in https://eventespresso.com/topic/event-espresso-creating-multiple-products-in-infusionsoft-old-thread-closed/ so that we could create events without creating MULTIPLE products inside of Infusionsoft…. Is there a step I am missing? Here is a screen capture of the setup and products that are appearing in Infusionsoft. |
Hi, Each ticket (not datetime) within an event will be synced to Infusionsoft as a new product. In the other topic you mentioned that you needed the product names to be the same, which should be the case if the event name + ticket names are all the same. They’ll still get a unique SKU though, because they are not the same product. |

So is the product name in Infusionsoft created by the {event name}@{ticket name}. OR is it created by the {event name}@{ticket name} & SKU? |
The product’s name in Infusionsoft will match {event name}@{ticket name}. The product’s sku is a separate field. |
|
|
So are you saying it will overwrite the SKU each new ticket or create a new product with the new SKU? That is the answer I need please. |
Hi, When you add a new ticket, Infusionsoft will add a new product and that product will have a new SKU. |
|
|
Is there a way to turn off the SKU? |
You can go to edit the product in Infusionsoft, then blank out the SKU field, then click Save, which will effectively remove the SKU. |
|
You can also add this code snippet to a functions plugin: https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/20f4f9959799bab88b32bb18faf27d7b and that will make it so going forward, no Sku will be sent when adding/editing events. |

Thank you for the Code – we will test this out. |
