Since I upgraded to EE 3.1.30.7.P the event ID numbers have been display in my events when they are viewed in list view. How do I remove these? See attached.enter image description here

Looks like you need to update your templates in the wp-content/uploads/espresso directory.

How would I do that?

Hi Carina

If you have modified templates in the uploads/espresso/templates location, they need to be updated to use the new template files included with the current version of the plugin.

If you haven’t made any modifications to the files in the /uploads/espresso/templates they can be removed. If you are not sure if there were modifications made to these files, you can back these up or rename that folder just in case.

You can automatically rename the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates folder by going to Event Espresso>Template Settings and clicking the “Rename templates directory” button near the bottom of the page.

I changed the name of the template folder via FTP. I didn’t see the option you mentioned in the Template Settings area. Changing the name of the folder had no effect. Am I missing something?

Hi Carina,

Your site, crookedtree, is still showing as using templates in the uploads section and that is what is causing the issue. As such I can only assume that the folder didnt get renamed correctly.

Your version of event Espresso should have the rename button, it looks like this http://d.pr/i/TnXN with the grey Rename Templates Directory being the button.

I did rename the folder and it had no effect so I changed it back. I tried removing the folder and nothing. I’m not seeing a “Rename Templates Directory” button.enter image description here

In this case, it may be that there are older versions of the templates copied into wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/templates. You could upload fresh copies of the template files -or- change the code in event_list_display.php and remove the line just before the event-meta div starts that says:

    echo apply_filters('filter_hook_espresso_display_add_to_calendar_by_event_id', $event_id);

In the current version of Event Espresso’s templates, this code has been removed.
