Event Espresso & WP User Add-On Integration with S2Member?

If I purchase event espresso and the wp user add-on, will s2member recognize the user level that event registrants are assigned, so that I can grant them access to protected portions of my site? Ideal flow: – Visitor registers for an event via event espresso. – Visitor becomes a user on my wp site. – Can I grant that user level permissions using s2 member? Thanks!

Hi Heather!

Those are good questions. The WP user integration add-on hooks into the standard WordPress user system. It adds the ability to set “member only” pricing and events. So how this works is after someone registers as a user of the site, they have access to “member only” events and also have access to the “member only” price options while logged into the site. They also have access to see all their events they’ve registered for as a member.

If they register for an event before registering as a user of the site, they don’t have access to any of the above. So the flow is different than what you described in your question. They register on the site first, then they can access the discounts/events and features that the WP user integration adds.

Since S2 also extends the WP user system, you can use S2’s member level capabilities to grant access to specific content to these users.

There are a few more features listed here:

Please let us know if you have any other questions. 🙂
