Hi folks
My Event Espresso 4 plugin has been deactivated by wordpress because it apparently has an invalid header in the main php file.
I had just updated it to the latest version via WordPress’s standard update process and it seemed ok then I got this message on our main plugin page.
I’ve tried reinstalling the plugin but this doesn’t work – it says the .zip file is empty when I download it from here and upload it to the wordpress site and attempt to install it manually.
Can you please help?
My URL: svrc.vic.edu.au.
WordPress is the latest version, we’re using X theme as our theme with its child theme and I’m not having this issue with any other plugin.

Hi Glen,
I see that you shared that you tried a re-install of the core software but the file was empty. Could you try again using a different web browser?
For example, if you are using Internet Explorer, then try Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or Safari.
I just tested the download from the account page and the zip file was complete.

I have tried this and same issue. I can see the .zip file does contain files, it just seems its something weird with WordPress –
Unpacking the package…
On one occasion I got this message:
The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
Can you please help? Thanks so much.

Thank you for letting us know.
Could you provide any details of what the problem was? I’ve seen this error:
PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) :
When the zip has been repacked to .rar or using 7ZIP but its also possible to be an issue with how the server is extracting the archive so just wondering for future users.
