Hi Carol,

EE4 is vastly different from EE3 and as such use different shortcodes.

Can you tell me which shortcode are you trying to use currently please?

Hi,

So the shortcodes are functioning ok on normal posts and pages? Are you product pages a custom post type?

If so which shortcodes are you trying to use there?

Hello,

Single product page link where i want to use the shortcode: http://www.carolsurbey.com/shop/workshop/the-power-of-she-workshop-series-the-secrets-of-she-your-personal-journey-of-healing/ (Want to use the code in the book now tab)
I am trying to use this shortcode [ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=”your_event_id”].

Thanks.

Currently the shortcode in use is:

[ESPRESSO_EVENT_REGISTRATION event_id=”3176″]

Which is not a valid EE4 shortcode, can you change that shortcode to be:

[ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=”3179″]

So we can see the output from that please?

Hi,

Thank you for the login details. I ran a test on your site and changed the shortcode slightly (removed the spaces before and after the = sign). This did not work.

I installed your theme (my copy), Woocommerce and the WooCommerce Custom Product Tabs Lite plugin on my test installation.

The shortcode works fine – http://take.ms/IetCG

As such you may need to run a full troubleshooting diagnostic to find out what is causing the issue. I would start by disabling all other plugins except Woocommerce, the WooCommerce Custom Product Tabs Lite and Event Espresso. Then test that it works as intended.

If so, start re-activating each plugin one by one, testing the shortcode each time.

Hi,

My apologies, it in fact did not work.

There is an issue in 4.2.5 that is stopping it from working, but in my stupidity I tested on a version that has not yet been released where it works just fine.

As this version is not due for release for a while, we will look into the issue further and see if there is a fix that can be easily applied to your version.

Sorry for the confusion. There is no need to do the troubleshooting now, please just bear with us.

Hi,

OK, I’ve added a temporary fix to the plugin on your site that seems to have resolved this. Please let me know if you are still having issues.

Hello,

I have checked and created another two events and it works well when i am logged in the site. When i am going to checkout without logged in from another browser then it is shown error message (An error has occurred:
Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations.
SNGPGCHC-DSNGPGCHC-PROATTINF-1264 – See more at: http://www.carolsurbey.com/registration-checkout/?ee=_register#sthash.cxsvAZV3.dpuf).
For this reason, the transaction is not complete.

Please, fix this.

Hi Carol,

The reason for this is due to the site caching Event Espresso critical pages.

You’ll need to set W3 Total Cache to not cache EE4 pages. We have a guide on how to do this available here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/

W3 Total Cache does not server Logged in users cached pages by default, which is why it works correctly when logged into the site, but not otherwise.

If you go to Event Espresso -> Payment Methods.

Open up one of the Payment Methods (lets say Invoice), make no changes and save.

That will then force a recheck of the Gateway images.

Are they then displayed?

Thanks. Now, it is working.

Again, many many thanks to fix the issue.
