We offer technical summer camps for students 1-12th grade. My website is getting an overhaul and we are trying to update the search functionality.
We want to filter on Age, Date, Location, & Class Group. Currently this question has come up multiple times, but I haven’t seen the final conclusion for EE4. From the documentation, it looks like I can only filter on one criteria (i.e. Class grouping). Is there away around this?
My developer is reviewing the code to see how difficult it would be, but I would prefer not to fork the code.

Hi Nathan,
Event Espresso 4 does not currently have this feature.
We are currently working on a few payment gateways along with the next major version of Event Espresso at 4.9.

Hi Lorenzo, Thanks for your response. My question was related to having more search/filter criteria available.
Did you mean to respond that you are working on payment gateways? What would it take to get this on your roadmap to add additional filtering criteria?

I do think its a good idea but its not something that would be available in the near future as we are working on some other priorities.

Do you happen to know about any plugins out there that add multiple category selection to filter WordPress posts? It may be that there’s already something built out there that with a few small modifications would work with Event Espresso’s event categories.

Hi Nathan,
So in that article they show how they used the wp_dropdown_categories() function. It turns out wp_dropdown_categories() can be used for building a dropdown of a registered taxonomy like event_espresso_categories too.
