Event Espresso 5.0 and Payfast Integration

I recently upgraded Event Espresso and have found that the Payfast plugin has only been tested up to version 4.9. This gives critical errors with Event Espresso version 5.0. Is there a way to roll back the Event Espresso version to 4.9 but retain all the pro features?

Hi there,

If nothing has changed within the Payfast payment method recently then you’ll find the fix for the above error here:

Note – generally I am against modifying plugin files (such as Event Espresso or 3rd party files like this) as you’ll lose the modifications on update, however, Event Espresso updates MUCH more than PayFast so this is the lesser evil of the 2 options.

Ultimately, Payfast just need to update the payment method to include the above and be inline with the latest changes in EE5 to more forward without errors.
