Opening Reception and Exhibit in Homepage Sidebar
Description is cutting off…. I researched and we don’t have a more tag in the description..This is my description… cutting off after September. Would like whole description to show on event.

Hi there,
Can you try changing the Display Description under Event Espresso > General Settings > Templates tab to “Full Description”?
That should do it.

That was already set to full Description… ? seems odd.

Hi,
By default the widget should show 25 words of the event description OR the event excerpt in full.
I installed your theme locally and yes the theme is cutting it off at 3 words.
Adding the description to the event excerpt worked around this issue. Screenshot http://take.ms/KOwLc

Hi,
You would have to use CSS to style the excerpt.
As a very basic example you could use
.ee-upcoming-events-widget-li p {
background: yellow;
}
which would style just the description (excerpt) with the widget to make the background yellow.
You can add the CSS to your themes style.css file (theme updates will over write this), a child themes style.css file or to a plugin such as My Custom CSS.
