Event check in EE4

Is it possible to hide all expired events from the event check in drop down list? We have been using event espresso for 3 years now and our list of past events is quite long. This makes it very difficult to check people in quickly for an event because we have to scroll through a long list of expired events to find the current one. Better yet, it is possible for the list to always show the next upcoming event at the top? That would seem to make the most sense for almost every user of event espresso as you would always be checking people in for an event right before it happens.

Hi,

Well, yes, that would be a nightmare to navigate. Looking at the code, the short answer is no, there isn’t a way currently to hide that data.

What I will do is raise a feature request ticket with the developers to see if we can resolve this, even if we simply change the order to the most recent at the top.

I can’t say if/when this will be introduced, but I will definitely put it forward.

Thanks, I would love to use the event check in feature more often but until the list is easier to navigate I don’t think it makes sense. Thanks for putting in the feature request.

Hi Allyne,

We are currently discussing how to handle this because there may be some members that are currently using this and we don’t want to break that existing functionality.
