We’ve been getting 404 Error pages when first logging in to our website and clicking on an event link in the sidebar. This problem goes away after a few clicks but it’s a widespread problem for everyone in our staff and clients. I noticed this happened after I made some style changes to our EE sidebar widget. Any ideas on how to fix this?
We installed EE 3.1.36 last month on WP 4.0.1. Registration page: http://69.195.124.188/~localgo2/promoting-good-government/events/event-espresso/event-registration/

Hi Susan, try browsing to WP-admin –> Settings –> Permalinks.
If that doesn’t help, then try reversing any changes to the core plugin (if any) and re-testing.

I have permalinks set to post-name. Would that possibly have an effect on EE event pages? Will try both and see if there any changes.

We recommend using pretty permalinks instead of the default ones so postname should be fine.

Now we’re getting 404 Errors when logged off. When logged on as administrators the the Upcoming Events links work but logged off they do not work. I didn’t see anything in the code and the permalinks are set to post name. Any ideas?
