Hello,
I am using EE Version 3.1.36.5.p. I found a great workaround that makes your page title the same as the event name: https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/7832044/download#. I am unsure of how to upload this to apply it? It says that it’s a plugin but when I try to upload it as a plugin it says “The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature.” Can you please let me know how I can upload this?

Hi Olivia,
Its because the link provided links to a .taz.gz file.
You can either manually transfer the plugin via ftp, or I’ve repackaged it to a zip which you can download here http://take.ms/vjf8Y
Download that file and upload as you did the previous one, as this is a zip file it should upload and activate.

I have uploaded it but the page names still are not changing. Do I need to edit the page name that has “Espresso_Events” to something special?

It seems there may be some confusion as to what that plugin does.
It simple changes the title of the page to match the event name, the title of the page is usually what is viewable within an open tab or the title bar of the browser (the bar you can use to drag the browser around)
It will not change the url structure of your pages so will not remove the /espresso_events/ section of your urls.

I see. What I am trying to do is have the event name the title of the WordPress Page. Here is a screenshot of what I am trying to do: http://screencast.com/t/PLtmcyu2kv. All of the event espresso pages are the same page name and I want to customize it to the event title. Is this possible?

Hi Olivia,
Yes, it’s possible. I made a few tweaks to the original plugin that make it change the name that’s displayed on the actual WP page. Here’s a link to the gist:

Please remember that if you download the gist, you’ll need to unarchive it before uploading it to your server. Or you can copy the code into an empty php file and upload it to the plugin folder using FTP.
