I get the following error when I try to activate Event Espresso:

Hi Hendre,

Is this a new install of Event Espresso or an upgrade?

It appears something has prevented the ‘wp_esp_event_meta’ table from being created.

Hi Tony, this is a new install.

I redownloaded and now it is working. I think I was accidentally trying to install 3 rather than 4… 🙁

Thank you for letting us know, I’ve been trying to reproduce this.

Just to note, looking at your errors above it would appear you were correctly using EE4, for example ‘/event-espresso-core-reg/core/db_models/EEM_Base.model.php’ is a file from EE4 not EE3 so I don’t think you were doing anything wrong.

It possible this was cause by a bad download or upload when installing onto your site. If you are using FTP to transfer the files be sure to fully delete the plugin before uploading. Overwriting the previous files will cause problems.

Anyway I’m glad you got this working again, if you have any further problems just let us know.
