Have tried logging in on multiple iPads and keep getting the pop up error stating:

What is the full string you are using in the Website URL field?
Can you send me temp login details so I can test logging in?

Using the credentials provided I’m not running into any issues logging into the app.
I’ve test on both iOS and Android without issue.
Try logging into the app using only the domain name, no schema etc so not:
The error you’ve posted can also happen if a security plugin (or something on the server) is blocking specific requests and or headers on that request but without reproducing I can only guess right now.
I’ve noticed that this issue only occurs on my iPads that run iOS 9.3.5 and does not occur on the iPads that can update past that iOS. This is an issue as our event occurs tomorrow and this is how we scan individuals in. Do you have an idea on how to fix this issue?
Unfortunately, I don’t have an iPad that runs that version, the lowest I have is iOS10 and I’ve just tested with that, again no issues.
Without being able to reproduce this is going to be really difficult to troubleshoot.
You can try adding the WP REST API Log plugin:
Then try to log in and let me know the time you tried, I’ll take a look at the logs and see if anything stands out (note that with the error you are getting we may not get anything useful in the logs).
