Hi there,

on my event espresso admin pages i see the following error:

Er is iets fout gegaan:
A valid ticket could not be retrieved for the event.
Please click the back button on your browser and try again.

And on the frontpages the customers the are getting the same error on the event pages.

I did some more research and I think .. after some testing we have found the cause … when a ticket is the ticket Capability Requirement is completed, no tickets can be ordered. then the error message appears.

to my theme functions.php there is a custom user role.

Hello,

Did this recently start happening after the changes were applied to the functions.php file?

What are the ticket capability requirement on the ticket?

You can see an example here (http://ee-screenshots.s3.amazonaws.com/ee4/ee4-s2member-roles-tickets.jpeg).

Hi Victor,

Can you post a link to the event page so we can investigate further?

Thank you.

Can you go in and edit the event, then move the “Gast” ticket to the top of the list? You can move the ticket by clicking on it, then dragging it to the top of the list.

Hi John, Thanks for your comment.

I did as you indicated changed the order of tickets. If I want to buy a ticket this again succeeds. However, when I adjust the order of the ticket to the original, then the error comes again.

But we do want to always the other ticket first will be placed in the available tickets.

You’ll be able to put the other ticket first after the next update of Event Espresso 4, but for now there’s a bug in the current version that causes the error you saw. If you want an early copy of the next update, the next release candidate of Event Espresso is available to download from here:
