One of my staff members keeps getting an error message when she is adding an attendee to an event manually. This is the message she is receiving:

Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /home/content/50/11983750/html/wp-content/plugins/espresso-infusionsoft/index.php on line 106

How do we fix that? What is causing it?

Hi Lara,

I’ll see if I can get one of the developers to fix this.

Hi Lara,

Can you go to the Event Espresso>Infusionsoft Settings and verify that the Application Name and Encrypted/Private Key credentials from your Infusionsoft account are correctly filled out?

yes it is. everything else is working fine and it’s only one of the four users we have set up on EE that is getting that message.

Hi Lara,

What WordPress role does that user have? Do other users have the same role?

She is set up as a master admin. There is one other employee set up that way and she isn’t having this issue.

Hi Lara,

What version of the Infusionsoft plugin are you using?

It might be worthwhile to provide login details. The error message you have is not the same as you would get with incorrect details, but it also doesn’t make sense in relation to the code.

We may need to install a small plugin on your site (User Switching) and to create some test attendees.

If that is ok, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level and FTP details are appreciated.

Hi,

Thanks for the login details. It looks like your version of Infusionsoft has been modified. As such the best advice I can provide right now would be to update to the latest version (1.3.0). You may wish to keep a copy of your existing version before updating to preserve the modifications for review.

Hi there Dean,
Do you mean to update EE3 or install EE4. I don’t think EE4 is an option for us yet as i recall reading that there isn’t any option for coupons.

Dean,
Would this update fix this problem too??

Hi Lara,

I mean the Infusionsoft addon, not EE (plus EE4 will NOT run the addon).

Basically, you’re on an older version of the Infusionsoft addon (1.2.0) AND there have been modifications made to the add on. You may wish to speak to your web developer regarding this, but my current advice is to back up and try the latest version of the Infusionsoft addon that is modification free.

Then we would be able to see if the issues that have happened are a result of the modified code or something in the default code (I have still yet to recreate this issue on my test servers, so it is pointing towards the modified code as the problem).

Hey Lara,
I copied your IFS customizations into the new version of the IFS add-on that you installed. Can you do a test registration and make sure the data is getting into IFS correctly again? Thanks.
