Error Message in Test

I am getting this error message. Is it because I am using “test” mode on Stripe and using 4242424242424242 as the card number? Will this go away on live, or is there something really wrong.

Url is http://naswwashington.staging.wpengine.com/event-registration/?ee=57

Thank You

Hello,

Do you have your testing credentials in place?

I am using the test keys from the stripe dashboard and stripe is in test mode on the stripe dashboard. Is that what you are referring to?

Hi, could you re-test this after your reinstall?

Thank you.

Unfortunately I can’t test this issue til the other issue is resolved with the payment gateway settings. I can’t get in to edit the stripe information. ๐Ÿ™

Hi Carol,

I ran a quick test registration and the issue I’m seeing is the thank you page is set to be https and it appears that there isn’t an SSL certificate installed for this domain. Can you check with your host about getting an SSL certificate installed?

Please see my follow up in the other thread about the Payment settings issue:

With debug working, I get this…

Notice: wpdb::prepare was called incorrectly. The query argument of wpdb::prepare() must have a placeholder. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 3.9.) in /nas/wp/www/cluster-2217/naswwashington/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3245

Good news —

I have a copy of this site in staging and my business partner is working on the weird character thing over there. Even though the arrow toggles aren’t working on payment settings, he was able to get into the html and we found a problem with the stripe secret code pasted in. He fixed that and the Error Message in the Test Stripe transaction is now fixed. So this thread is resolved. There is no longer an error message when testing stripe.

The other thread https://eventespresso.com/topic/payment-settings-drop-down-arrow-not-working/#post-106511 is still an issue.

1 down, 1 to go. ๐Ÿ™‚

Alright, so the issue was regarding the Stripe credentials. Thanks for letting us know.

I’ll close out this post and take a look at the other one.
