I’m getting this error when I try and load an event? Everything is updated including the wordpress (which is what I saw in another tip).

There was an error in your submission. The event was not saved! Please try again.

WordPress database error: []
INSERT INTO wp_events_prices (event_id, event_cost, surcharge, surcharge_type, price_type, member_price, member_price_type) VALUES (0, ‘0’, ‘0.00’, ‘flat_rate’, ‘General Admission’, ‘0’, ‘Members Admission’)

I’ve opened a support token.

I’ve tried deleting out all of the extra entries (with ID=0), but they keep coming back and I keep getting the same error. I have left a few of them in the back end for you to see. Every now and then it lets me get an event loaded but I can’t make any rhyme or reason into what is allowing it to happen.

It looks like the issue is with the event description. I can load up events that have no description or very short one word descriptions. The last time this happened (years ago), it was the same thing but with the name of the event. I didn’t keep the email conversation of that priority support token, but if you have in files, it will probably help

I got to the bottom of it. I was copy and pasting a description that had an emoji in it. I guess emojis aren’t accepted into the database.

If you haven’t started working on it, any chance of getting a credit for the support token for the next time I break something? lol

Hi Jason,

I don’t think EE3 can emojis currently but will check if there is a workaround.

We haven’t started working on your support token yet so I can leave that on your account and you can redeem it at a future date.

I’m glad you found the problem 🙂
