Hi,

i have installed the event espresso plugin and some addons.

When i test the plugin, i filled out the formular for register at the test event. After press the button “Proceed to Finalize Registration” the formular is empty.

I found an error in the source code:

<div id="espresso-notices"><div id="espresso-notices-error" class="espresso-notices error fade-away" style="display:none;"><p>An error has occurred:<br />Vorname ist erforderlich.<br/><span class="tiny-text">EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Attendee_Information - _verify_critical_attendee_details_are_set_and_validate_email - 873</span></p><a class="close-espresso-notice hide-if-no-js">&times;</a></div></div>

I already deactivate all plugins exlude event espresso, event espresso addons, polylang and google xml sitemap. But there is still the error.

Following Versions are install:
Wordpress 4.2.2
Event Espresso 4.6.31.p
Event Espresso – Barcode Scanner (EE 4.6.0+) 1.0.3.p
Event Espresso – Events Table View Template (EE 4.4.9+) Version 1.3.3.p
Event Espresso – Grid View Template (EE 4.4.9+) Version 1.2.3.p
Event Espresso – Ticketing (EE4+) 1.0.3.p
Google XML Sitemaps 4.0.8
Polylang 1.7.5

Version of PHP: 5.4.40-1

I using Event Espresso Requirements and gets an Passed with warnings:

Which are the Recommended Apache Modules?

Here is an URL to test the installation: http://www.performance-night.com/Veranstaltungen/test/

How can i find out the error?

Hi there Michael, thanks for getting a head start on troubleshooting!

Are there any caching services in use by your web host? For example, do they have any built-in caching services?

Here is information on your second question.

Required Modules and Server Configurations:

The mod_rewrite module for Apache servers (if using pretty permalinks)
An SSL certificate (if using an on-site payment method)
PHP cURL module (most payment methods require this)
fsockopen support (some payment methods require this)

Hi Lorenzo,

thanks for your feedback.

We are using an own root-server and have not installed caching services. I installed the plugin cachify, but already deactivate it for the troubleshooting.

mod_rewrite is installed. The other modules are not needed, because we are working only with free tickets.

Cheers,
Michael

Hi Michael,

I checked your site and viewed source. The page is missing some calls to a few JavaScript files, which is more than likely causing the errors you are seeing. The JS files get added via the wp_footer() hook, which might be missing from your theme’s footer.php template.

You can fix this by adding the wp_footer(); function to your theme’s footer.php file. There’s more info about the wp_footer() function in the WordPress codex.

Allright…it seems i forgot it…shame on me 😀

I have an other question. I hope it will be ok, i use the same thread.

I can´t open the language file to modify with POEdit. I get an error: the file has broken or an wrong format. I download the german file from Event Espresso 4 language file repository. How can i edit it?
