Getting error message when processing AMEX, other payments are working fine.

Error Code: 10566
Short Message: Credit card type unsupported
Short Message: The credit card type is not supported
Severity Code: Error

Hi Tracy,

American Express usually requires a separate billing agreement than other card companies. For this reason, it isn’t enabled by default on some payment gateway accounts such as PayPal Pro.

Is this a newer merchant account? If so, could you follow up with your merchant provider to check on this requirement?
