No emails are being sent when someone registers for an event. I also tried to the ‘Resend Registration Details’ and normal was sent. Based on one of the Support topics I installed the Email Log which remains empty.

Thanks.

Hi Reza,

Which version of Event Espresso are you running?

Also, does your WordPress site send out regular WP notifications such as password resets for user accounts?

Hi Lorenzo. Forgot to include more information.

I am running Event Espresso 4. Yes. My wordpress does send out password resets.

Based on one of the postings in the support forum I have also installed WP Mail. I just requested for a password reset and got the email.

Can you go to EE->General Settings->Email Settings and make sure that the “Fancy email headers” option is turned off?

Hi Sidney

I can’t find Email settings on EE->General Settings->

Sorry, that’s an EE3 setting location. In EE4, you’ll want to go to Messages, and in each email, replace the To and From shortcodes with their unformatted couterparts. Try it out with one type of email to test whether it is what is causing your problem, though. Note that some of the shortcode unformatted types haven’t been filled in, yet. So where I found EVENT_AUTHOR_FORMATTED_EMAIL, I used ESPRESSO_ADMIN_EMAIL instead.
Some servers have a hard time with formatted email headers. Sometimes you’ll see emails that come in that say

"John Doe" <johndoe@email.com>

We put the option into EE3 because of the support overhead caused by servers that can’t handle that, and need it to be just the email address.

Hi Sidney.

I don’t have any email in MESSAGES. Is this something that I need to configure and if so, can you point me to the documentation for it?

Hi. I can now see the messages and have sent some test emails out.

Strange, One minute there were zero items in the Message Page. Then I went to the settings page and started to push and pull the pages form active and inactive and suddenly all these messages appeared

Thanks.

That is strange, would you mind uploading a screenshot of your messages sections?

I’d like to confirm the correct messages have been created just to be sure.

Hi Tony. Here you go. Just to be clear. This is what I did.

After seeing the Message Tab empty I clicked on Setting and found that Registration Declined And Registration Cancelled in into Inactive Section. I dragged both pages to the active session and they appeared on the Message Tab. Thinking I did something wrong I dragged them back to the Inactive section. And all the other pages appeared inn the message tab. Do I now leave them in the Inactive Session?

Also, I am not sure how to upload he screenshot so I uploaded it on my site. Maybe yu can download and upload here so that it won’t be lost.

Hi Reza,

It turns out we can’t download it, but you can try posting a link to the image URL in this thread.

I have some updates. Registrants are not getting their emails regarding payment confirmation and registration confirmation. I need to manually resend the email to them.

Also, all emails from EE is being sent under my personal email (presumably as the author) instead of WordPress or the email I chose from WP Mail.

I check by asking for password reset and the email is sent under the name I set in Wp Mail.

Thanks.

Update. I changed my email in the User Profile and EE resent registration details using the new email.

Hi Reza,

Along with that, can you check to see if the email log is still empty?

Reza Ali

Emails are being sent whenever registrations and payment are made and the log shows it.
