Wow – what a great piece of software! I am not a coding expert but am enjoying getting setup and look forward to going live with Event Espresso – thank you!

I do have a couple of questions for you that I hope you can help with:

1. I am running some tests before going ‘live’ and I have set up an email in the event that I wish to be sent upon completion of registration (I have chosen to use a “custom email” within each event rather than a “pre-existing email”). The email is sending fine but it is showing the sender as “WordPress” and I’d like to change this to show as being sent from our site – I can’t find where to change the sender info?

2. Is there a feature where we can add a ‘tick box’ during the registration process so that the purchaser has to confirm that they have read the terms & conditions before purchasing?

3. iPhone app – I have logged in to the app but none of my events are showing? I followed the instructions as per here – https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-ticketing/#services and set the permissions to 755

4. Is it possible to remove the “Powered by Event Espresso” branding on my tickets?

5. I have installed the “Members addon” plugin and it works fine for any events registered for AFTER signing up as website user – BUT if I register for an event BEFORE I sign up as a website user the event does not show in “My events” when logged in. Is it imperative that people sign up to the wordpress website before they register for an event or is it possible for people to register for events and then sign up as a wordpress user at a later date and have all their events in the “My events” section of the site?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Angus

3. iPhone app update – I have also tried with the HD version of the app and now get a 404 error when trying to login?

Hi Angus,

I’ll follow up with your questions below:

This is answered in the documentation:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/general-settings/#email

2. Is there a feature where we can add a ‘tick box’ during the registration process so that the purchaser has to confirm that they have read the terms & conditions before purchasing?

Yes:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-require-attendees-to-agree-to-a-policy-before-being-allowed-to-register/

3. iPhone app – I have logged in to the app but none of my events are showing? I followed the instructions as per here – https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-ticketing/#services and set the permissions to 755

This may require some troubleshooting. Which version(s) of the apps are installed on your mobile device? Also, is the JSON plugin installed? The JSON API plugin is the recommended API to use and it works with the Event Espresso HD app. One common thing to check: If your WordPress URL is different than the WordPress site URL you will need to log in with the WordPress site URL set as the URL in the app.

4. Is it possible to remove the “Powered by Event Espresso” branding on my tickets?

Yes, the ticket template can be modified by following this guide:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-create-a-custom-ticket/

They’ll need to be logged in as a user when they sign up for an event for the event to be recorded in “My Events”. You can set the Members add-on so it requires them to be logged in before they can register for an event:
