Email previews and test emails

Is there a way to see exactly what a registrant’s email is going to look like for a specific event, including all of the automatically filled in fields?

Hi there,

Messages templates can apply to any event within Event Espresso, so EE basically pulls in only the critical data it needs to build out a preview rather than pulling in a specific event and building out the content from that.

Currently, to view exactly how the email will look you’ll need to add a test registration to the event. You can add a registration to the event and set the registration status to whichever template you are working on, then retrigger the registration messages on that registration to view the details (either by checking your emails or viewing the email in Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message Activity).

You can retrigger the registration messages in Event Espresso -> Registrations.

Find the registration in question and click on the icon.
