Email address in Quick Overview section?

Hi,
The developer who put our site together used his email address as the admin email during development. Now the site is live and we’ve replaced his with our email address in WordPRess’ Settings > General. I noticed, though, when looking at the edit an event page (or add an event page) that the developer’s email address appears in the QUuick Overview section of the page (upper right). Could you tell me why this is showing up and why our admin email address isn’t?

We were having some registration email problems. Could this affect where reg. emails get sent?

In any case, can you tell me why the developer’s email is showing up here and not mine and how I can fix it? Thanks!

Check the email for the admin user account that you are using. Also check the primary contact email in Event Espresso –> General Settings:

Hi Lorenzo, I checked both before posting my question. They’re both using my address. It’s just in the Quick Overview section that I see a different address. Is there anywhere else to look? It’s strange.

Does your email appear for new events?

The developer’s email address shows up for *every* event.

However, since confirmation emails get sent to the correct email address (mine) I wonder if having the developer’s email in the Quick Overview section is okay. I still don’t know why it’s there, but if it causes no problems can we just overlook it?

The person that creates the event should have their information there.

Is there a WordPress user for the developer on your site or was that account already removed?

Hi Lorenzo, I’m actually the developer (Mike) logged into the EE account to ask questions so your answers get forwarded to me. I used my address for everything during testing. We only had one user (the admin). I changed the EE email and Admin email to something different, but mine still shows up. The only thing at this point I can think of is maybe using a search & replace plugin to see if it finds my address in the quick overview and changes it to the right one.

In EE3, the person that created the event is credited as the person who submitted it.

In EE4, the events are stored as CPTs, so you can easily switch the event admin / author.

If you login to the site with a different admin account and create a new event and publish it, does it still show the developer email or does it show the new email?
