I am getting the following error on one page that has nothing to do with event espresso. This seems to have started after the last update.

An error has occurred:
No transaction information could be retrieved because the registration URL link is missing or invalid.
EES_Espresso_Thank_You – run – 188

WordPress Version:
3.9.2
PHP Version:
5.4.31
MySQL Version:
5.5.29
Event Espresso Version:
4.3.1.p

Hi Jason,

Was this a manual update to the latest version of Event Espresso 4 or an automatic update?

Could you deactivate Event Espresso, then reactivate it, and then refresh pretty permalinks through Settings –> Permalinks?

First it was the automatic update. Then I deleted and reinstalled manually. Didn’t fix it.

My permalinks are default (http://website.com/dev/?p=123).

I recreated the post and that seemed to fix it. It’s very strange that it only happened on this one post.

Did that post have any Event Espresso shortcodes or did the message randomly appear on this post?

Apparently your system blocks images.

Anyway, no EE short codes. Post is a custom post type for newsletter archives. Nothing even to do with events.

The error came up randomly in the EE error popup.

Hi Jason,

Can you provide a link to the page in question please?

I’m seeing this error as well. I recently upgraded from EE 3.1.36.5.P to 4.3.1.p I attempted to ‘migrate’ my EE3 events, although none of them are current. Do i need to delete those old events to make the error go away. It only comes up the first time you access the main site, has nothing to do with accessing an event page/post.

thanks.

Hi,

Could you deactivate Event Espresso and reactivate it?

Then please go to Settings –> Permalinks and re-save your existing settings.

Then try registering for an event and let us know if this appears.

Thanks Lorenzo. I tried that and when i browse to my site, I still get the message: “An error has occurred: No transaction information could be retrieved because the registration URL link is missing or invalid. EES_Espresso_Thank_you – run – 188”
could this be related to EE3 shortcodes still in my old events, even though they have expired?

Could you double-check the four WordPress pages that have the shortcodes for Event Espresso? They can be found in the General Settings –> Critical Pages area of Event Espresso within the WP dashboard.

Also, please ensure there are no duplicate shortcodes for these pages. If they are, please remove them and save changes to those pages.

Here are the original shortcodes for EE4:

If this doesn’t work, could you create and share a temporary login through the link below:

Thanks

Lorenzo
