Hey guys,
I’m getting the following error after updating to 4.7.2, it doesn’t seem to be stopping me from doing anything, but it’s scary none the less.
The following errors have occurred:
A database error has occurred. Turn on WP_DEBUG for more information.
EEM_Base – _do_wpdb_query – 1621

Also I still have to update manually due to my support license not being accepted? I actually suspect my license has expired now, I didn’t repurchase it as it never actually allowed me to auto update anyway.

Hi Liam, did you manually update by removing the old version of Event Espresso 4 and then downloading a new copy and uploading it through WP plugins in your WP dashboard?

Hi Lorenzo,
I did indeed yeah, disabled all the EE plugins I have (calendar, custom templates ect) deleted the old versions of what I was updating, then uploaded the new versions and reactivated everything (I updated both core and calendar). All of that through the WP backend.

FYI I also just tried deactivating all the extra EE plugins and just trying to update an event with the core plugin enabled, still the same error.

I haven’t no, the site is live and I don’t really want users seeing debugging messages at the top of the site.

Hi,
Would it be possible to place the site in temporary maintenance mode, enable WP_DEBUG, find out if there are any additional errors, and copy/screenshot them? Then you can revert the site back to being live.
I understand that this is not ideal, but we need the WP_DEBUG info to be able to dig further into this error message.

This seems like a plugin or theme function conflict where there’s a function calling $wp_query way too early.
You can rule out a theme conflict by temporarily switching to the default WordPress theme.
You can rule out a plugin conflict by temporarily deactivating any other installed WordPress plugins.
