EE4 v 4.4.5 – Changed time zone to UTC time all event times moved forward 2 hour

I am in Calgary, Alberta which is UTC -7, I had switched it over from Edmonton to UTC-7, now all my times of all my events have moved forward 2 hours.

In the events list in the admin section it shows EASST under all the times, which I can only assume means eastern standard time?

Strange?

Switching back to Edmonton time now, which caused the issue of having the “there are no more events…” blurb to show up 3 hours early.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Ty,

Using a UTC time setting will not work as expected. Please select the closest city/region for your location and save changes.

Hi,

Event Espresso 3 and Event Espresso 4 do not support using UTC as a time setting for WordPress. You would need to select a city or region near you.

The UTC fix for 4.4.5 was related to showing upcoming events within the upcoming events widget.
