Hi,

When I did the plugin update to go from 4.1.8.reg to 4.1.9.reg everything seemed to go okay until I received this error message:

The plugin event-espresso-core-reg/espresso.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

Upon checking the situation on the server, the upgrade was again left in a eventespresso.tmp folder instead of the proper folder name.

I renamed the folder and all seems well but this should not be happening.

Hi Paul,

Did you happen to do a “bulk” plugin update? If so, the update client code was refactored to allow for “bulk” plugin updates in 4.1.9. So it will not happen again when you update to 4.1.10.

Josh,

No, I just did a single plugin update. There were two plugins listed as having updates available and I just did the update on Event Espresso.

By “bulk update” I mean “check the box in front of the plugin and select update” instead of clicking the update link.

Josh,

Yes, then I did a “bulk update”.

They fixed the issue with bulk updates in 4.1.9. So you’ll be able to update without the issue on 4.1.10 because 4.1.9 has the new update engine client code.
