EE4 Registration Checkout skips Step 1

Hi There!

I’ve configured events to create a user account and enabled user registration on the site. After adding an event to the cart, I click proceed to registration. It then goes immediately to step 2 and step 1 is disabled. I’ve disabled all plugins other than EE, changed the theme to 2017 and I get the same behavior. There are no errors in the console. I am working on implementations on two different sites and both have the same issue.

What can I try next?

Hi there,

I’ve configured events to create a user account and enabled user registration on the site.

So you’re using the EE4 User Integration Add-on? Is, then this:

After adding an event to the cart, I click proceed to registration. It then goes immediately to step 2 and step 1 is disabled.

Is expected when you are already logged in or don’t have the event set to require login.

With the WP user integration add-on Step 1 becomes ‘login’, if you are already logged in you don’t log in again and if you don’t force your events to require login that step is skipped.

If the option ‘Force Login for registrations?’ is set to Yes, when you register onto the event whilst logged out you’ll see – http://take.ms/jY4Zc

Hi Tony,

Thank you for your response. When I am logged in, I see the message “Note: Changes made in your Personal Information details will be synced with your user profile.” on registration-checkout.

When I am not logged in, even in different browsers and devices, step 1 is still skipped. You can see it here: https://fass.millcityis.net/classes/fass101/

Thanks again!

Jason

That’s happening because you’re not forcing login for registrations.

Edit the event and check this option – http://take.ms/bGZi9

If you don’t force the users to log in then step 1 is skipped.

Thanks Tony! That did it. I had a slightly different workflow in mind, but this will work.

I very much appreciate your help.

Best Regards,
Jason
