Hi,

I’m having an issue whereby, for a free event, when a user clicks on ‘Proceed to final registration’ after adding Attendee personal information, the page just refreshes and the data for Attendee information is cleared. Under registration on the back end it shows and incomplete registration (Finalize Registration : Never Initiated). I have disable plugins etc to see where the issue may be occurring, however issues is still occuring?

Hello,

Does the same thing also happen when a default WordPress theme is in use?

Are there any caching services (e.g. WP super cache) in use on your site and who is your hosting provider?

Thanks Lorenzo.

Changed to another theme and worked perfectly. Now just to find out what is breaking it in the code.

Hello, I recently read about a plugin called WP Asset Clean Up that may be able to help with troubleshooting:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-asset-clean-up/

Registration checkout runs on this page:

example.com/registration-checkout/

You could use the plugin above to selectively deactivate some of the resources that are loading on the registration checkout page via your theme. Be sure not to deactivate any resources for Event Espresso 4 or WP core resources like jQuery. These changes are made through the page editor (towards the end of the page).

Then you could re-test registration checkout. If it works, then browse to the registration cancelled page here to clear your session:

example.com/registration-cancelled/

Then you could restore a couple resources from the theme using the plugin and re-test again by trying another registration.

Another thing to check is to ensure that your theme is loading a current version of jQuery. I’ve seen themes that use the Cherry framework load an old version of jQuery which breaks certain functionality in the Event Espresso core plugin.

If you share the name of the theme, then we could also run some searches to see if something similar was already reported here in our support forums.

Thanks

Lorenzo
