WP 4.5.1 and EE4 Version 4.8.42, permalinks set to postname, not going through any WiFi, and still cannot get in – I am getting the error message: “Error Occurred. The requested resource could not be found but may be available again in the future. Subsequent requests by the client are permissible.” site is at iforum.community

Hi,

Can you please try refreshing your permalinks? Go to WordPress Admin > Settings > Permalinks. Just visiting the page should refresh the permalinks, but you may try re-saving them as well.

Now I am getting “Undefined 1XX status code”

Do you happen to know if the server is using fcgi?

They just got back with this: They recompiled Apache with Mod FastCGI v2.3.9

What we’ve found is servers that use Mod FastCGI do not accept the authentication headers. We also found a temporary solution that involves installing a WordPress plugin for authentication and making an edit to the .htaccess file. The temporary fix allows the authentication headers to get passed to your server. If you’re comfortable with making an edit the .htaccess file, here’s a link to a thread that outlines the change:

If you prefer that EE staff make the edit, you can send your site’s FTP credentials and WP admin credentials via the form on the send login details page and we’ll apply the temporary fix.

Plugin installed and activated, .htaccess changes made – still getting 1XX error
Here is .htaccess Note two instances of <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> – one if for the SSL plugin:

What’s the RewriteBase /espresso/ and RewriteRule . /espresso/index.php [L] all about?

I have no idea – I commented them out and I still get the same 1XX error

It might help to find out why those were added in the first place.

Also, if your site has the WP API v1 plugin, you’ll need to deactivate or change the wp api v1 prefix before you can use the EE4 Mobile App. You can use the v1 API renamer plugin to rename prefix.

As far as I can tell, those are part of the default EE4 install.

No those are not part of the default EE4 install.
