EE4, Mijireh and World Pay

After investing time and money into this setup for a client – I have hit a brick wall and it’s not looking good.

I bought EventEspresso and paid for Mijreh as a gateway thinking the intergration with Worldpay would be easy.

The username and password I had for Worldpay did nothing when entered into the Mijreh backend. After asking their support, they suggested I’d need a API username and password, rather than just a standard login. That made sense.

So I spoke to Worldpay.

They can’t issue an API key unless it’s one of their approved shopping carts, which Mijireh isn’t on the list.

They’ve said:

“consequently, we are unable to provide the XML Direct service until you demonstrate that your systems can handle this data securely and that you are taking responsibility for your PCI compliance. One part of this is the need for us to see a clean Vulnerability scan being made on your systems.”

So it looks like I’m going to have to hire a 3rd party company to look at Mijireh to say it’s ok. But I don’t even know how that’ll be possible, given Mijireh won’t just let anyone access their code.

Does anyone here have a working EE4, Mijireh, WorldPay setup who can point me in the right direction?

Mijireh claim to be PCI-DSS compliant, I just don’t know how I get Worldpay to believe that.

Hi David,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with getting the payment gateway set up. According to Mijireh’s website, they say that

Mijireh and Cart66 are certified PCI compliant service providers validated by TrustWave.

We don’t have a way to track the type of gateways used by the Mijireh gateway, however if you contact Mijireh they should be able to know whether or not WorldPay is actually compatible with their service.

Hi Guys,

I’m struggling with the same problem although haven’t got to the request for API username and password. Wanted to try to do a simple live test today and am getting Invalid Credentials errors.

Any further ideas on how to resolve?

Best,

Mike

Hi Mike,

As much as we (Event Espresso) would love to be able to help, this sounds like an issue with how Mijireh is integrating with WorldPay and is not something we can control.

In a nutshell when Event Espresso works with Mijireh we basically pass over the event (and any relevant attendee) details to Mijireh. Event Espresso at that point has no idea what gateway is actually active within your Mijireh account, we simply communicate with Mijireh and Mijireh communicate with the gateway provider you have activated. So then Mijireh and the gateway provider do their thing and Mijireh basically tells Event Espresso that the payment was either successful or failed.

So the whole point of Mijireh is to separate the integration, we integrate with Mijireh and Mijireh integrate with the multiple providers they have listed. Event Espresso has no need for details of the gateway provider as it does not have access to the gateway provider, only Mijireh.

I would recommend contacting Mijireh to see how their WorldPay integration is expected to work. They have it listed as a support gateway so should be able to provide details on the integration works.
