Hi,

A recent change in EE4 update seems to be breaking our Memberpress plugin (which is used to restrict access to certain events)

Before the latest update it was working perfectly fine. Has there been any change in the way the ticket registration page is generated?

Also is there a way to undo the update and go back to the previous version of EE4?

Any advice is highly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hi there,

What is happening with Memberpress?

Before the latest update it was working perfectly fine. Has there been any change in the way the ticket registration page is generated?

It depends on which version you updated from but we haven’t altered how the registration page is generated recently. Which version number did you update from?

Also is there a way to undo the update and go back to the previous version of EE4?

It depends which version you updated from, if there have been any database updates between your versions then it is advisable not to downgrade.

The update was done without noting the previous version.

An alternate idea would be to disable EE4 generated post (which includes the registration form) and place it on a standard post manually.

in other words, when an event is created is generates a post – is there any way to disable the EE4 post and create a manual registration form for an event?

Thanks in advance for any tips to get this to work!

What is actually happening with Memberpress? Is it just not hiding the content any more?

The update was done without noting the previous version.

If you navigate to Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> System Information.

You’ll see a log for ee_activation_history

At the bottom of that list is the current version of EE, before that will be you previous version.

in other words, when an event is created is generates a post – is there any way to disable the EE4 post and create a manual registration form for an event?

No, its not possible to disable the EE post, all of the event details are tired to the post.
