HI, I’ve recently un-installed EE3 and installed EE4 (with the table view add-on plugin) and since then I can’t get registration to work properly… I have an event with timeslots which cannot be selected and clicking “view details” or “register” takes the user into a continuous loop which cannot be completed.
Please could you check my installation and help rectify any problems!

I would have two pages which I have set up which I would like help testing and getting working:
http://www.hemel-scouts.co.uk/dbs-clinic/
which should have events on it using the category shortcode:
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”dbs-clinic-1431439887″]

ad

http://www.hemel-scouts.co.uk/activities/climbing/
which should have events on it using the category shortcode under the heading “Weekly Climbing Sessions”:
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”climbing-weekly-sessions”]
and another table (ideally) headed “Climbing Weekend for 10+” with the category:
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”climbing-weekly-sessions”]

Hi Russ,

Do you want to use the Events table template for those pages, or not?

Yes, ideally I would.

Okay, the shortcodes are set up correctly now. The one thing that needs finishing up is many of your events don’t appear to have their datetimes correctly set up. If you go to the Events overview, you’ll see that many of the events say “No Date was saved for this Event” under the Event Start column.

You can go in to edit those events, then where it says Datetimes, click on the date, a calendar will pop up, and you can select the start dates and times for those events.

Thanks, though the timeslots don’t seem to be working.
Could you set up the event called “DBS Clinic – 12th April 2016” with timeslots as follows so I can see how it should be please:
7.00pm – 7.20pm
7.20pm – 7.40pm
7.40pm – 8.00pm
8.00pm – 8.20pm

Thanks
Russ

Hi Russ,

I setup an event with those datetimes and set it to draft.

Here is a video of how it was done:

A draft event means that you will be able to see it if you are logged into the site.

Go ahead and update the description and then update the ticket pricing and name and then click Publish to make it live.

Thanks

Lorenzo

Thanks Lorenzo,

Unfortunately I’ve done this but there is still no option to select a timeslot to register for and the registration confirmation emails aren’t being received.

COnfusingly, there is a question about timeslots – this is set up as a question, rather than affecting the bookable timeslots and affecting availability.

I’m on Firefox but Chrome

You’ll need to set a ticket for each timeslot if you want them to be selectable. You only have 1 ticket set up for that event.

the registration confirmation emails aren’t being received.

Do you receive the test email from the Messages editor?
