Hi,
I’ve reviewed the help file for installation and configuration on the Infusionsoft Add-On for EE4, and I’m unclear about how to configure tags. Can you tell me how I get to the ‘Event Meta’ setting, how that key gets entered, and why you set a value of ‘1’?
Thanks,
Brent

The tags need to be set up in the Infusionsoft admin then you add the tag id’s from Infusionsoft in the EE4 event meta key/value field’s as shown in the example. The ‘1’ is the id of my Infusionsoft tag id.

Hi,

Event Meta is for Event Espresso 3. Please use the custom field for Event Espresso 4:

Should the tagging work when we complete a manual registration from the admin panel? I haven’t tested a front end registration yet but so far I have run two test registrations with the tag configured two different ways (wasn’t 100% on how to use the custom frields):

Tag 1: Name=ACLS-P_Van_2014_Nov_14 Value=1
Tag 2: Name=infusionsoft_tag_ID Value=ACLS-P_Van_2014_Nov_14

Can you tell me which of these two configurations is correct?

Hi Lorenzo,
I just did another test with the custom field properly configured, and confirmed that the Infusionsoft tag did not transmit to Infusionsoft on a manual registration from the backend. This is an event in ‘draft’, so it is also inactive. However the contact did transmit.

Clarification – when I say, ‘manual registration from the backend’, I mean from the EE admin panel in WordPress.

Are the tags transmitting when you create a registration from the Front end?

We’re haven’t tested registration from the front end because we’ve got some issues to work out with that as well, but I those issues are not related to EE. I just wanted to know if the tags are supposed to work with manual registrations on the back end?

Hi Tracy,

I just tested this. The tags I added to the event were then added to the Infusionsoft contact that was created by the EE4 manual registration from the back end.

Seth,
Just to confirm I’m doing this right:
1) I define the tag in IS.
2) I add that tag ID to EE with the custom field name infusionsoft_tag_id
3) regsiter the participant should work, right?

NOTE: we also have installed elsewhere –
Infusionsoft SDK for WordPress
Gravity Forms Infusionsoft Add-on

Not sure if these could be interfering somehow. Is that possible? Could temporarily deactivate, and see if it changes the result.

This is working now that we deleted the plugin and re-installed.
