New installation of 4.2.1.reg with calendar addon 3.0.0.reg running on WP 3.9. This is a test site.

I searched the forum and couldn’t find anyone having these problems so maybe it’s just me. I find it hard to believe that this hasn’t been noticed.

The datetime picker for event start and end datetimes is not behaving well for me. I must enter the end date first and select “now” to get started. If I enter the start date first the end date is set 100 years into the future. Since there is no way to enter the datetime manually I have to delete it and re-enter (I’m not paging back 100 years).

Also, I have a start datetime of 9 pm and end datetime of 11 pm but I can’t make the 11 pm stick. It’s pushed into the next day (1 am) when saved. Am I missing something?

I wish I could just enter datetimes manually and have the system validate on save. The datetime picker is very tedious to use.

Hi Brian,

That isn’t normal behavior and unfortunately I can’t duplicate it so I’m not sure what could be causing it.

What are your date and time options set to in WordPress General settings?

Also, are you using any plugins on this site that features a calendar?

Thanks Lorenzo. Now I can’t duplicate it either. It’s a mystery. In any case, changing the datetime picker to one that allows manual entry would be good.

Seems to be something on the back end requiring an event to be at least 5 hours from start to end time:
I have a similar problem. I just updated to new version. I created a new event, which starts at 9am and ends at 12pm the same day. However, when I published it, the end time changed to 2pm. I’ve tried everything, even trashing the event and recreating. However, the end time still sets itself out to 2pm. I changed the event time to 7am and end time to 10am and it then set out the end time to 12pm. When I switched the start time back to 9am, it automatically switched the end time to 2pm again. Please advise

FYI. I changed the display venue date/time to No. However, still shows up in listing. So, I just entered the correct time in the description. I restored the database and migrated the previous events. (Now the time stays at 2pm no matter what I select).

I have the same problem. Start time is 2pm regardless of what time I choose.
