This is weird. I want a page set up so one category’s events show on the left and a different one on the right. I’ve triple-checked the slugs, but even through everything is typed correctly, the same category displays in both places.

Hi there,

Can you outline how you have the two categories set up? Is this by means of a shortcode, custom query, or something else? If you give us these details we can look into this.

I’m using the TablePress plugin. Here’s a screenshot of the code in the table:

Then you just put the table shortcode [table id=”X”] in the page.

Hi,

I ran some tests with EE4 4.7.2.

I tested the following:

Page with two ESPRESSO_EVENTS shortcodes with different categories
TablePress with the same
A hand coded table with the same

Interestingly the only issue I had was with the TablePress one. It did what happened to you, and showed the same event in both columns. However on refresh, it showed the correct (and different) events.

I ran a few more tests after that and could not repeat getting the duplicated events.

I would suggest just re-saving everything (the table, and the post/page containing the table shortcode) and see if that resolves it.
