Just installed EE4-Decaf and have a few questions ahead of making a decision on whether to purchase the full version.
– My event page looks different from the demo page which I also signed up to. For example ticket details for the event are displayed in a table within the demo version, but not on my site with Decaf. Is this a problem with my theme, or the settings?
– There seems to be more options in the demo to customise your template, e.g. moving the order around. I know template options aren’t available on Decaf, but the options which are greyed out seem to be less than the demo.
– My feature image isn’t being displayed. Could this be a problem with my theme, or does Decaf not support this?
– Ive changed my location within the settings, but the venue address is still prompting only US or Canada location options (we’re based the UK).
– Does Decaf support google maps for the event location?

Hi Scott,

Most likely an issue with the theme, if you view the source of the page that contains the the ticket selector you’ll likely see the table html output there, but your theme may be styling it not to look like a table.
If you’d like to link me to the page I can double check this.

The Decaf version is slightly behind regular, Event Espresso Regular is install on the demo site so this is the version that shows all of the options.

That will be your theme.
Event Espresso 4 uses your themes single.php template (or whatever your theme is using to output single posts) so if your theme doesn’t display feature images for those posts, you won’t see it on the event post.
Note – some themes set specific post types they allow the feature image to display within your theme may be doing that if you can see it on some posts but not EE events.

US and Canada are enabled by default, you can change this within:
Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Countries.
Select the UK from the dropdown and set the ‘Appear in dropdown lists’ option to Yes and save. You can also disable US and Canada using the same steps but setting the option to No.
Note you’ll also need the UK ‘state’ pack (which would be our counties, I’m from the UK to) from here:

Does Decaf support google maps for the event location?
No, the google maps are a feature of Event Espresso regular.
