Is it possible to change the “owner” of an event? I.e., have the admin emails go to a different account? Is the event always tied to the user that created it?

Hello,

If this is for just a single event, then you can go to that event in the Event Editor. Then toggle screen options in the top right and place a checkmark next to author.

Next, scroll down towards the bottom of the page and switch the author to a different user and then save changes for the event.

If you want to change this for all events, then you can edit the Message templates directly.

For example, if you go to the Registration Approved template for the Event Admin, then you’ll see that the email is set to go to the Event Admin [EVENT_AUTHOR_FORMATTED_EMAIL].

You could switch it to one of the following options and save changes:

WordPress site admin – [SITE_ADMIN_EMAIL]
Event Espresso admin – [ESPRESSO_ADMIN_EMAIL]

More examples are available in the right area of the page.
